7 Cheese Bread Recipes


1 – Cheesy Onion Bread:
A hearty loaf that pairs well with soups, cheddar cheese is generously in both the bread itself and can be used as a topping.
MAKES: 1 loaf
PREP: 10 minutes
BAKE: 3 hours
Ingredients:
1 cup of warm water
1 tsp Kosher or Sea Salt
3 cups of bread flour
3/4 cups of shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
1 tablespoon dry milk (powdered)
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tsp dried onion (minced) or 4 tsp of caramelized, sautéed onions
1 ¼ tsp bread machine yeast
Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to the bread machine pan.
  2. Choose  Basic-White Cycle on Medium crust with a 1.5-pound loaf setting.

2 – Garlic Parmesan Bread:
Have this savory bread on the table ready to go with a great Italian meal in lieu of typical garlic bread.

Ingredients: 1 cup water (room temperature)
2 tablespoons plus 1 ½ tsp butter, softened
1 tablespoon honey
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 ½ tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp salt 3 cups bread flour
2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in bread machine pan.
  2. Choose basic bread setting, crust color and loaf size you prefer.

3 – Beer Cheese Bread:
Serve this loaf at a party, where it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser! It especially goes well with chili.

Ingredients:
1 package active dry yeast
3 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt 1 tablespoon butter, room temperature
10 oz. beer, at room temperature
4 oz. shredded or diced American cheese
4 oz. shredded or diced Monterey Jack cheese
Directions:

  1. Heat beer and American cheese together on a stovetop or microwave until warm and stir to blend. It is not necessary to make the cheese completely melted.
  2. Add mixture to bread machine pan, followed by all other ingredients.
  3. Choose white bread/basic cycle.

4 – Jalapeno And Monterey Jack Cheese Bread:

1 cup of warm water
1 tsp salt
2 tablespoons white sugar
½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
6 tablespoons fresh Jalapenos peppers, chopped
3 cups bread flour
½ tablespoon active dry yeast

  1. Add ingredients to the bread machine pan.
  2. Choose a basic bread cycle.

5 – Mozzarella Cheese Pepperoni Bread:
This bread is more like a meal than aside.

Ingredients:
1 cup water + additional 2 tablespoons
1/2 cup medium shred mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons sugar
1 ½ tsp garlic salt
1 ½ tsp dried oregano
3 ¼ cups bread flour
1 ½ tsp active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
2⁄3 cup diced pepperoni
Directions:

  1. Add the ingredients to the bread pan except for the pepperoni.
  2. Choose the white bread setting, with the medium crust for a 1.5-pound loaf.
  3. Add the diced pepperoni after the first kneading cycle is over.
  4. Before serving, let the bread rest and cool.

6 – Cottage Cheese Bread:
A filling white loaf that kids will definitely enjoy.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1 cup cottage cheese (or full fat)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
2 ½ tsp active dry yeast
Directions:

  1. Add ingredients to the bread machine pan.
  2. Choose the white bread cycle.

7 – Cheesy Pull Apart Garlic Bread:
A bread that’s great as an appetizer to big dinners and parties, best eaten while warm from the oven while the cheese is still melty. Best of all the bread can be customized to your (or your guests) particular tastes.
MAKES: 1 loaf 
PREP: 5 minutes
BAKE: 3-4 hours
Ingredients:
Bread:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter
1 package active dry yeast 
3 tablespoons sugar
3 cups flour (not leveled)
1 tsp Kosher or sea salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
Filling:
4-5 plump garlic cloves, minced
1-2 fresh jalapenos, very finely chopped (optional)
6 tablespoons butter, softened
2/3 cup fresh chopped herbs, your choice
2 cups grated cheese, your choice
Freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
Bread Machine:

  1. Combine water and milk and microwave until steaming.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of the butter and stir together.
  3. Let the mixture sit until lukewarm.
  4. Add yeast, sugar, flour, salt, and egg, then water/milk/butter mixture to bread machine pan. Choose the dough cycle.
    Conventional Oven:
    While the dough is being made, the filling can be started.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
  6. Combine the butter with garlic and jalapenos then let sit.
  7. After the dough has risen, punch it down the dough and turn onto a lightly floured surface, allowing it to rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Roll the dough out into a 12 x 20 rectangle.
  9. Cover evenly with garlic/ jalapeno /butter mixture.
  10. Sprinkle evenly with herbs and cheese.
  11. Grind black pepper over.
  12. Cut dough vertically, into 6 strips.
  13. Stack the strips on top of each other.
  14. Slice the stack into six equal slices again.
  15. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place about 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
  16. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and is cooked through
  17. Remove from oven and let cool for 10-20 minutes.
